sapient: The rodent returns... Carley had the spiffing idea of doing a sweet ukelele duet, and, without hesitation, I jumped at the chance, unsure where it would take us, but certain that something beautiful would emerge. And then Song Hamster heard what we were planning and that, as they say, was that. It is still kinda pretty though... #uke #songhamster

Carley says: I honestly had no intention of returning to this rascally little rodent, but the power of the songhamster cannot be defied. Personally I blame the prayer candles. Another terrifically fun (and funnily terrifying) chapter in the ongoing songhamster saga! Thank you Sapient for making it happen 💕

Was the previous song hamster appearance during this fawm?? I'm voting for a palomino colored fella, just for familiarities sake. Mine was named Mr.ED, for obvious reasons. This was a treat, and exactly what I needed right now!

Mr. Ed, how cute!! I had one the same color but his name was PeeWee. Songhamster's first official appearance was last year; after I made a comment about not being able to sleep because I had a hamster wheel of songs running in my brain, Sapient took that idea and created a masterpiece, so it has become our mascot of sorts. Probably not the last we'll be hearing from songhamster this year either....

Fun and funny. The jaunty melody in the verses is wonderful. The sinister undercurrent of the drone is the perfect foil to the sweet uke - the contrast in the dark lyrics and upbeat vocals is similarly delicious. Then, of course, there's the last verse, which is everything we've come to know and love about Sapient.
