The past year has been a bit of a wild ride. Not only do I still have an unenviable collection of kidney and gall stones, but since the last FAWM I have:
- discovered that I am autistic
- discovered that I've got ADHD
- discovered that I have complex-PTSD
- worked on music projects with Chris Merrick Hughes and Portishead's Adrian Utley
- recorded at Peter Gabriel's Real World studio with Robert Brian and David Rhodes...

I don't use any AI tools in my work. Even if you ignore the the fact that they only function because their programmers ripped off the work of thousands upon thousands of creative people without their consent, quite honestly, I just don't see the point of them. If I hand over any aspect of my creative process to what amounts to a glorified plagiarism machine, how is that going to improve my skillset? The answer is brutally simple: it can't. For me, AI is an artistic dead end that must be avoided at all costs. I don't even use iZotope's machine learning mastering wizards when I'm mixing or mastering something; I prefer to rely on my ears.
If you use AI, that's fine, you do you; knock yourself out—but don't expect me to have any interest in ever listening to the results.

Very much my sort of thing. Lovely to see Cameron is back at it!
Finally had a chance to sit and give this whole batch a good listen. The level of creativity on display is, frankly, daunting. Makes me want to rethink my life choices LOL my whole thing together doesn't sound as good as any one of these. Excellent work!
I started reading about your musical adventures and then realized how much was there. To be returned to in a month that's NOT February. But in the meantime I was inspired by your journey and it made me wonder: could I interest you in guiding me on my journey to use my DAW at a professional level? (Compensated, of course!) In any case, I'm terrifically impressed by your work and I'm not easy to impress. Keep it up!
Wow! Thanks a lot for the great comment on "Solar Node" That make my day for sure.
Impressive start Chris. You are uniquely setting out to blow FAWM away with your prog creativity.
Thanks, Mike! These days doing this is as much about remaining sane as anything else. Happy FAWMing!
Hey bud - did you get my email?
I did - haven't had a chance to work on it yet...
Ok - good deal. No rush on my end.
You could call that studio a music factory!
It's the Wood Room. A lot of very successful albums have been recorded in there!
Wow there is a lot going on in your life recently. Fingers crossed you get something out of your system and turn into odd prog goodness. All the best :)
You've been on the go in a big way. Let me dive in a little before it's back to work. Also, did you see my email?
Cool, cool studio photo!
Thanks for posting the ZeroGPT link! I tested my lyrics and it agreed I'm human. Whew! ;)
Haha - that's always reassuring to discover! :-)
That’s a lot to have to learn to cope with! But it seems so many of the most creative, talented people I know are acquiring such labels. Badges of honour maybe.
Hi Chris, so good to see you back again. Re some comments in your bio, well, it really has been a year hasn't it. I feel like we are kindred spirits, having similar experiences myself. In fact, I wrote a song about it, ha ha. (A sense of self) Happy FAWMING
Happy FAWMing Chris! I hope that the COVID bug is gone!
Hey, Chris. Hope you have a great FAWM!
Totally agree with you on AI. Why would I give my time to listen to something that someone couldn't be bothered to put time into creating?
PS Adrian Utley! 🤩
Happy FAWM! Can't wait!
Look forward to your new works!
Hi Chris! I look forward to hear your songs this year. Happy Fawm

Good to see you in here again, Chris!
Hi Chris! 👋 😃
Good to see that you have survived ! Can't wait to hear your FAWMing this year.
That pic of you with Hugh Padgham (on the New Gear forum) is awesome. To this day, my favorite song is still Every Little Thing She Does is Magic. I just love the sound of Ghost in the Machine.
Hey, glad to be back and to see you back!!! I will be as surprised as you by the output here at Fuzzy Sound Labs; I never know what's going to happen!!!
Whew - wild ride, indeed! Although it's never been officially identified I suspect I share some of the early points on that list. I hope items 4 & 5 helped smoothed out the rest.
Here's to a successful FAWM and more music brought to a world that's also a bit more rough around the edges, this year.
Have a Great FAWM!
