Warring Factions

This one started off with me feeding the Korg M3 through a rather convoluted pair of effects chains, then I added some #WarrGuitar on top of it (lead and bass) and topped everything all off with Superior Drummer 3. Four tracks, all first takes with no edits.

Cool track especially for all first takes and no edits, very atmospheric and a bit gloomy, ahhhh...Warr guitars, i remember coveting one for a while round the Trey Gunn era of King Crimson, and it's weird to think the M3 is like 20 years old now?
I like the space vibe and chill feel. Well-done Warr-ing!
Ive watched a lot of old norse stuff lately and the start particularly reminded me of that modern style of music. I like the pick up around the middle, nice beat really makes it chug along!
I love the atmosphere giving way to a determined deliberate beat. Bass is nice! What's the sound up above? It's got me like a swarm incoming (maybe bee factions?). All of this was first takes - wowza!
I like the low guitar tone. Some of the things happening in the first half have a nice vocal/choir sound to them.
Lovely fabric of the synth sounds + FX, could listen to that evolving forever. Had to look up Warrguitar, fascinating! Really works when it kicks in with the drums at 01.30. This has a soundtracky vibe I think, ambiguous, interesting mix of upflifting and slightly foreboding. The camera following someone walking down a street, and what happens around the corner could go in any direction..
Sometimes a noodle can turn into something really cool, and this is a great example. Wonderful atmosphere and build!
I haven’t played with an M3 in years! Cool. A much softer open than I was expecting (always good to subvert!). A very open space. Fields, valleys. To me, this is complete, not just a sketch. That wall of M3 is haunting and perfect. Kudos!
that Korg is delicious. Seriously. I love how it's somehow in the front and back of the mix with the chosen sounds. Great progression as this builds.
Nice, I love the chorused high bass. It's a simple melody but it works so well. The continuous windy drone behind everything adds a lot of mystery. It starts a bit eastern with the 'voice' as well. I like how it suddenly becomes a much fuller piece halfway. Nice slow rhythm, lots of nice drum riffs adding variety.
