My favorite lines of the song are “I think I’m done with anger” and then the “What would Dolly do?” Somehow these two make a giant tent for all the complicated inconsistencies of being human in a world of other people being human too. And the music swings me along like a cradle at a march.

You always have some humor in your songs..ie "I'm done with folk in baseball caps". well done. But we are in different times !

I read the lyrics obviously with a feeling of familiarity and solidarity. Listening to it later warm and fuzzy from the familiar epic swelling sounds so textured & crunchy in a good way! A showcase of humanity inside industry and granite.

"Stand up and play our part" reminds me of the old Moebius comic "Cauchemar Blanc" in which a community stops a gang of neo-nazis by simply being a version of themselves that is unafraid - without otherwise being any different. An odd association, perhaps, but I like it when songs awaken a thought in me.
