Hey, FAWM friends! I’m Alyx.

I’m a #queer, #agender / #nonbinary, #AuDHD human with an increasingly impressive beard.

I generally write folky/acoustic songs, mostly on guitar, but sometimes when I get stuck I reach for other instruments, particularly things in the mandolin family. I have quite the motley assortment to choose from here, though. I've been writing songs for over 25 years. That's wild.

As of September 2025, I've finally started releasing music into the world outside of FAWM! I've got some demos up on Bandcamp and several streaming platforms now.

I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota with my husband, @fecknom, who is also a musician, and our doggo, Nova, a husky mix we adopted in August 2021. We are a houseful of #neurospicy weirdos (yes, I am including the dog in this), and I love that for us.

I'd be hard-pressed to name a single genre I don't like at least something from. I enjoy listening to everything from classical music to death metal.

2026 will be FAWM number nine for me! I cannot wait to see what we collectively come up with this year.
