This weekend we were camping near a Orillia, Ontario. For the long weekend they had a reenactors pirate festival around the local docks and downtown. It was a great party for the whole town and wonderful to hear the music and see the incredible replica ships and cosplay. #fuc #folk #acoustic-one-take

Today they areplanning to raid the yacht club. With artisanalbrews and cannons firing blanks. It doesn't really matter which side you root for. Tonight there'll be a party in the clubhouse on the banks. Chorus

Sweet tooth Tom headed into town visions of eclairs and cupcakes danced before his eyes. He stormed the bakery door and rattled his rapier. The baker at the counter gawked in surprise.

He left with a bulging bag of booty. Filled to the brim with breads and sweet delights. The baker's purse was bulging with dubloons. You have never seen such an outlandish sight.

I live in a land of land pirates immortalized in the song Last Saskatchewan Pirate. I like this sleepy lakeside pirate tale!

At first I thought the inland pirates would be the members of the yacht club who were making their money in nefarious ways. I liked the turn towards eclairs. I like the seaside feel of the music.

A sweet song for marauding buccaneers with a sweet tooth! The combination of pirates and patisserie is a sure-fire win. They're a bit early for International Talk Like A Pirate Day, though; that's the 19th.

Really fun, rollicking tune - the ukulele and melody give it a pleasantly seaworthy feel. I especially like the contrast between the mock danger of the chorus and the extremely wholesome weekend piracy.

Love the shanty vibes of the chorus, it really rolls along and evokes water for sure! This is delightful.

I love that progression in the chorus - cant fail - this one rollicks along, with the smell of the water in the air - very good storytelling!

This is great storytelling! I thought perhaps the pirates were tourists, and perhaps they are, but either way, it was fun to follow the story along. At the very least, Sweet Tooth Tom appears to have paid for the booty. Worse pirates have appeared. Must have been a great event!

Oh this brought such a big smile! The "no one is safe" lines are so hooky, we're all singing along. You've made it so I can totally picture the scene.
