Liner Notes

@wynia says : The great poet Willa Cather penned "Evening Song," a beautiful ode to love. The poem is available for adaptation as it is public domain, thus it inspired this song performed by the members of @bearwith. Like many things I write, it takes a retro maybe #70s tone

Lovely, lovely vocals over a terrific musical arrangement inspired by this poem. This is what music-making is all about! Great collaboration! ❤️

Very beautiful, so nice. Lovely arrangement and I adore that retro feel.

Ooohhh! Yes! Love the instrumentation. Like a mash up of classic 70s love ballad and a more classically-trained tone mixed up and served in this beautiful ode to love. I like that it gets jazzy, minor and comes back to major. How like life... how like love. High fives all around!

Also - tears in my eyes right after it ended. DARN YOU!

lol. Thank you!

OOOH! Love that guitar noodle and piano groove in the intro. Just LOVE. Oooh. The bass enters. Then vocals. What an absolute VIBE you've created! Nailed the 70s vibe for sure, but in a cool way that reminds me of the time period but doesn't make me think of one particular artist. That lilting beautiful soft lead vocal. Man. Wow. Just gorgeous. I'm sitting back with a smile and a sigh. Ya'll have made a beautiful piece of art. Thank you!

And great mix/master. Sheesh. I know it's FAWM, and not FAMM (February Album Mastering Month), but everything sits so perfectly and just feels so so good.

This is quite lovely. Love the musical touches and the voices are sublime. Really nice production too. Great poem to do this with.

Terrific! The vocal harmonies remind me of The Roches whom I adore. Love the melodic choices and phrasing throughout. Lovely collab - all the players get little spotlights throughout the arrangement. So tasteful. Look forward to hearing more!

I love this song. It has something warm and cozy but also dark and moody at the same time. I also like the two voices and how they perform the poem.

What a great poem, I can see why you chose it! This arrangement is incredible, your vocals pair so well together, and the cello sounds amazing. My favorite part is probably the bridge, something about that C to G to G7 at the end!
