Trigonometry Jazz

@richaaaay says: @davidtaro threw down the challenge for me to do a trigonometry song in a reply comment to a comment I made on his song “Another Boring Love Song” ( https://fawm.org/songs/318788). DT said: “anyways, I think you just agreed to do trigonometry-themed song. And I'm holding you to that. Cheers dude!”
Not wanting to hold back, I recruited the brilliant @wobbiewobbit, and man oh man, she produced some top notch work…
While we were working away, @nathanjoelong posted his own excellent trigonometry song (https://fawm.org/songs/321657). Kudos to Joe.
Pow, Pow!!! Take that Mr. Taro…
Lyrics
w: Do you like Jazz? R: I like math w; ah jazzzz R: trigonometry
(jazz, trigonometry repeats)
did you know pythagorean theories helped us understand the harmonic series
who would think that singing the blues would have anything to do with the hypotenuse
trigonometry easy as 123 (oh yeah 3 my favourite number!) trigonometry a (opposite!) b (adjacent!) c (hypotenuse!)
trigonometry magical geometry trigonometry mathematical jamboree
What, like the swing of a pendulum…It’s a sine
A sine wave that a pendulum makes, oscillation vibration
Trigonometry jazz
Putting the funk into periodic functions
Is that a triangle?! Oh man, i love triangles! triangulation fixation calculation captivation
correlation admiration deviation fascination modulation adulation
formulation adoration i’m of an equation persuasion
trigonometry easy as 123 (oh yeah 3 my favourite number!) trigonometry a (opposite!) b (adjacent!) c (hypotenuse!)
trigonometry magical geometry trigonometry mathematical jamboree

Nerdy creative quirky and absolutely amazing! Love the jazzy feel and all the awesomeness of math and music wrapped up in one fabulous song! And what a great mouthful of words…. So many that I’m sure you are breaking some foundational songwriting rule 😀I love the deadpan delivery as well. Very cool!
Hot diggity dog this is a fantastic song. You collab’d the f outta this! So creative and executed to the nines. One of the best things I’ve heard this year and I’ve heard a lot of great sheet this year. Jazz, baby!
I love your harmonies! And your patter! And your swing! The math is the icing on the cake.
This definitely strikes a tangent on a hyperplane. Let alone rhyming blues with hypertenuse. Thats cool to the cube!
Haha... I think you took the right-angle with this and I love it when jazz goes off at a tangent :) .. but seriously, nice work ... great drumming, stand-up bass and love the harmonies at the end.
ha!!! this is brilliant, and so entertaining! love every moment of this! its jazz, its math, its everything! this is my kind of jam for sure! and you can take that to the nth power, factorial, baby!
This is so much fun! We need more mathematical jazz songs, especially ones having this much fun with rhyming. And going off on tangents...
Mathematical jazz!! It's so cool. Creatively clever. I love it. Awesome collaboration Rich and Wobbie!!
This wins FAWM just because you went there and rhymed "blues" with "hypotenuse." And a deluge of geometry gags. At least we didn't get into how useful complex numbers are in sorting out the physics of oscillations... Oh, and the harmonies on this are SWEET!
"Oscillation vibration sounds like Jazz man"!!! You guys always make me smile. What a wonderfully put-together mathematical jazzy jamboree!
I cannot say how much this makes me smile. I can't wait for your album of your greatest hits. I'm going to buy that so fast.
