This one just flowed out. After having some writers block that was pretty nice.

If I ever turned this into an actual song (HA) I'd definitly want to extend the chorus or add a bridge or something. But this is good for now.

“ But he’s an awful god he’s an awful god/He watches that heart break” is a powerful lyrical moment. Believers and nonbelievers can access what that feels like. I like the music for this, too — it has a similar edge, to match the lyrics. Strong rhythm.

Is that a brushed snare?!? That's sick as hell. Love the harmony throughout the verses, and the melody note on 'rough' in the choruses, super crunchy. All about this!!

There are elements of this that remind me of various people, but I couldn't pin it down to one (There's definitely Simon & Garfunkel and 70's John Lennon in there). The chorus really stands out - quite catchy, but I get what you say about developing it a bit further. Certainly a good foundation if you do decide to develop it.

I love your voice on this song, very soulful delivery! & the harmonies are great too. I like when people go the extra mile & record vocal harmonies! The layered guitar lines & cymbal heavy chorus drumming provide a great atmosphere.
