[1. Too Much But Never Enough]

I am still trying to find my genre. I always end up sounding like this and I'm not sure I'm into it.

I have a cold and used autotune more than I'm proud of.

Lyrics

At night things have a way of coming back to you Times when I fell short Or maybe went too far

If you could, try to give me a sign Did I cross a line and Now you’re just being polite

I think I should go....

——

I’m in love , but its too much I’m too much but never enough I wonder where I'd be If I just stuck with something

I’m in love , but its too much I’m too much but never enough I wonder where I’ll be Probably in therapy again ——-

I can’t promise you that I’ll never change Hour to hour, day to day

I’m so tired because I never want to sleep again I’m too busy, wasting time

You don’t want to know

I’m in love , but its too much I’m too much but never enough I wonder where I'd be If I just stuck with something

I’m in love , but its too much I’m too much but never enough I wonder where I’ll be Probably in therapy again

Great power-pop. Love the layers. Addictive guitars. A very interesting bass line. Catchy melody. I'm always a sucker for the major-to-minor change on "therapy." Skilled use of autotune because I don't hear it. Strong dialectical theme throughout the lyrics, starting with the title: "I'm too much but never enough" (fresh version of this idea); "I'm so tired because I never want to sleep again"; "I'm too busy, wasting time." Overall, a strong song.

Love all the layers in this! I'm going through all your tracks at the moment, really love your style and writing. Your voice rocks, by the way, so if you were sick when you did this, you still managed to sound great.

I like this wall of sound with the meandering guitars over the top of everything. Drum track is really nice. No shame with autotune especially when you have a cold (although sometimes that unlocks some nice extra grittiness). Feel better soon!

Thanks!

Kinda sounds like Superchunk but with mk.gee’s production styles. I love that riff, it’s sort of evasive in a very 90s alt rock way. This was cool

Ha!!! Thank you!

This sound transports me into a futuristic city scape driving around in the rainy neonlit night. You sound great and the instrumentation is also very good. You are off to a wonderful start for this incredible and weird journey that is FAWM.

Oooooh your description makes me think of synthwave which I love. Thank you so much!

An absolute ripper! Starting off with a bang! Love the beefy guitars and the vocals/harmonies are on point. Really cool how the verse chords are unresolved and then the pre chorus and chorus put the ground under our feet. Looking forward to more!

Thanks dude!

wouldn’t have known you used autotune if you hadn’t written it in the liner notes. but I’m also a sucker for over-the-top autotune as an aesthetic choice. But anyways, I really dig the production on this track, that bass tone is really solid, & the chorus is very catchy! good stuff! 😁

Well I love it! Kinda has a bit of pavement and dinosaur jr to the music and your voice is cool as hell. Some really tasty guitar sprinkled throughout it rawks but has enough pop sensibility that one could dance to it…I could smoke and bob my head to it…really cool tune. Get outta your head, this RIPS!!!

I love Pavement! Thank you!

Ya they’re a top 5 for me. Top 1 a lot of the time.

HELL yeah man. nice work. and your guitar sounds soooo good!

🙌🙌🙌

Well, if you always sound like this, that's awesome! Great beat and I just felt swept away in it. Great first FAWM song!

Thank you!!!

YES. Great production on this! Love the guitar out front, those chords are so tender.

woah this is amazing! I know this is insanely specific but genre-wise it reminds me of a handful of women-fronted Australian indie bands from the late 2010s that I like, lol. I could listen to this song on loop

Wow thank you so much!!! I will have to check out these women-fronted Austrailian indie bands hahahaha
