2026 - My 9th year here.

Last year I commented how I may have limited time for FAWM. That was certainly true, but I’m so glad for the few songs I did manage to write. I’m really happy with them.

This year I hope will be similar. I’m not going to set my expectations too high - there are just a lot of constraints on my time right now - but I would be glad to even write just one new “keeper” song. I’m realizing as I’m writing this that it is somewhat cathartic to even type that out. I have been contemplating skipping this year entirely, but I guess I’m not going to close that door quite yet.

I like to write story songs and humor. I love the blues styles, and have a strong appreciation for old gospel blues.
