If I Tell You I'm Tired
by @jmadison
Liner Notes
This was a fairly quick write tonight. I had the idea a few days ago, and had a few rhymes. I fleshed it out a bit more today. Good enough for FAWM. I would definitely like to revisit this one after FAWM.
Lyrics
If I tell you I’m tired, will you leave me alone? Will you go on your way like a bird that’s flown? Will you roll on away like a hill and a stone? Move on along to another time zone? Go find out where the wind has blown? If I tell you I’m tired, would you leave me alone?
I was all alone doing just fine Didn’t need nothing to come and wreck my mind But there you were, I looked up and there you were I was doing just fine, minding my own time But there you were
If I tell you I’m tired would you leave me alone? I’ll be content like a dog with his bone I don’t want nobody callin’ on the phone If you come back here you know I’ll just moan All by myself is the best time I’ve known If I tell you I’m tired would you leave me alone?
I was out on a walk, just lookin at the sky There wasn’t nothin’ around to make me cry But there you were, I looked up and there you were I would’t tell a lie, I tried to slip on by But there you were
If I tell you I’m tired, will you leave me alone? Will you go on your way like a bird that’s flown? Will you roll on down like a hill and a stone? Move on along to another time zone? Go find out where the wind has blown? If I tell you I’m tired, will you leave me alone?

Cool blues! I’m enjoying the mandolin over the walking base. The lyrics are fun and very well done. I’m inspired to write some 12 bar blues now as well. Nice job.
Solid blues groove here, almost rockabilly with the sweet mandolin riffs. One of my favorites on FAWM this year!
Love the lyric. This is a great song! Very enjoyable groove.
