Salt and Light

Liner Notes
I've spent WAY too much time on this one. I re-structured, re-arranged, and started over 5 five times before I got something that I thought I could work with.
I really wanted the mandolin to be -different- somehow. I think I'm going to revisit this one later, but for now, here is my demo!
Now I feel free to work on the next song. :-)
Lyrics
It’s a dark and lonely place where we live It’s a cruel and tasteless world There is trouble lurking wherever you go But there’s one thing you gotta know
You are a light, you are a light You are a light on a hill You are a light, you are a light You are a light on a hill Jesus said you are a light Set up high and shine it bright You are a light on a hill
You are the salt, you are the salt You are the salt of the earth You are the salt, you are the salt You are the salt of the earth You’re the salt of the earth If you lose your flavor what is it worth? You are the salt of the earth
So, shine your light, so shine your light So, shine your light, shine your light So, spread your salt, so spread your salt So, spread your salt, spread your salt Jesus said you’re salt and light Spread it make the darkness bright You are the salt, you are light
The world is a lonely place, a dark and lonely lonely place, but you are the light of the world
The earth is a tasteless place, A troubled tough and tasteless place But you are the salt of the earth

I really like this bluesy guitar! The vocals are great, and the mandolin is a fantastic addition—it really adds a bright touch to this song. It's groovy and very catchy!
Loving the sliding guitar and the mando noodling over a tasty helping of Matthew 5. Good stuff!
