Charles (Chad) Lenig- Primarily a percussionist Chad studied music education (percussion) with Dr. Kay Stonefelt and composition with Dr. Donald Bohlen at SUNY Fredonia then later completed a masters degree in music technology from the college of St. Rose in Albany. He began playing guitar and singing in his high school years and honed his instrumental skills later as a instrumental music teacher. Lenig's Musical interests range from the music of Stravinsky, Stockhausen and Varase to Jewel and then to Coltrane and Chick Corea. His compositions are often eclectic usually including some signature twist that may be apparent to all or sometimes require digging to find. He performs as a drummer with many groups throughout upstate NY. Mr. Lenig has also been the 7-12 Band Director at Fonda-Fultonville Central Schools since 2002. He and his colleague Mr. Greg Kowalczyk are also the founders of The Fonda-Fultonville Jazz Festival. The Festival is a large academic Jazz Festival for Middle School and High School Jazz Ensembles. Chad is also an active recording engineer with a fairly large client list. He lives with his wife Kristen and sons Jasper and Zander in Amsterdam NY.
Hopefully this FAWM will produce a couple of songs for my indie rock project “New Stonewalls”.

I think you accomplished it very nicely!
Hey Chad, I contacted a vocalist for Shibuya. Let's see where it goes, and if we have something I'll let you know. No need to record the instruments now, because I'm injured anyway. Guess it's best to proceed when the song is going somewhere. Thank you!
Sorry for the slow response. Hopefully you heal quick. I am ok with whatever timeline we will see where things go. I also have to check your new songs out. The Jazz Festival was such a huge undertaking I had to take several days off from FAWM.
Thank you! I hope your festival was good!
The Festival was fantastic! Today I finished editing 26 bands worth of audio and sent it to the band directors. Super successful! 23rd addition which is crazy right?
Oh wow this sound awesome but also a lot of work
There you are!
Thanks for the awesome comments so far! I had to take several days off of FAWM because of the Jazz Festival I run at school. I hope to get caught up listening and write a few more times over the next few days.
I wrote down your name for Shibuya, but I might still wait for vocalists / lyricists. Maybe we get somebody who's really feeling the anime vibe? I wish I could co-write something with you, but my tendon hurts. No instrumental playing today, and maybe not in the next days. No idea if I can do anything more than mixing this FAWM.... time will tell 🥺
Hey Chad - I wish you a happy FAWM! Rock on, buddy
Thank you for listening to and commenting on all five of my string quartet movements! It was great to hear from someone who understands what I was trying to accomplish.
