the 808 is star of the show here and gives energy to the song, the electric guitar flying along as it follows. and yeah, @lamerabbit is unique in his vocals, which shine here as well. the perfect pairing with that metal driving guitar. the pace feels like it's always expanding and the cadence on the vocals drive that message home.

the theme here being one of horror villains doesn't miss a beat with the laundry list. thought it was interesting in the opening verse to place them in cities around the world, but also the key to understanding the deeper revelations to the song. even more interesting is the hopeless presented with the shift to natural disasters, even going so far as to lock into a burning planet. and it's not wrong, so guess damned if we do damned if don't situation. i don't think i'm too far off here, as the title of the song "Relax, It's Only Our Lives" don't actually appear in the song, but reflects the hopelessness of the situation, the song writer pleading for someone, anyway, to please wake up and notice what is happening here.

with the song at 1:21 would love to have a ripping metal guitar solo sprinkled in, but i'll take what i can get. great job guys.

Cool as hell. The guitar sounds great over the electronic beat, and the whole thing has this post-punk-meets-krautrock feel. The vocals are wild too - somewhere between Jello Biafra, Mike Patton, and Tom Waits.

Yeah, this is great. I used to "comp" my vocals and spend hours on multiple takes. Not any more. I do a take until I screw up, then I stop, then I curse non-stop for 30 seconds or so, and then I try it again. It really goes a lot faster that way...

This is so different from what I think of as Chris’s style that I was trying to figure out if I had Chris’s handle wrong. I like how the lyric and the music seem to throw an ever escalating tantrum about every corner of the world. Sometimes it just feels so good to rant. It’s like a masterclass in Catastrophizing - keep escalating til you start to giggle.

Its a really cool lyric but i can see it would be tricky cadence wise, great job though. end result a very cool song!

The dirty guitar plus effects (or is there an organ here?) - super rad. I love the vocal stylings, so much edge! Sad state of affairs the US is in, this is an apt commentary

This is such a perfect pairing of subject matter and energized delivery. Particularly like the epic disaster picture section- brings it together so well, as does the chorus. Great teamwork!
