I’m playing around a little more with Garage Band and hopefully Band in a Box this year. I am four (five?) years into my songwriting journey, coming from a poetry and choir singing background. I don’t get to prescribe my guitar quite as much these days but am feeling even more comfortable on it.

I invite collaborations! I’ve especially loved putting melodies to other people’s lyrics lately. I’m also excited when I get to topline a track or have instrumentalists bring my lyrics to life. …..

2025: Hi again! This year I'm hopeful once more to finish some of my favorite song seeds lurking on my phone notes. Last year I completed a ton of collabs and challenges and had so much fun! But I may have to take those a bit easier this time. I don't love the feeling when I leave loose ends dangling and feel like I let people down on the ones I did not complete.

in greek mythology, cassandra was a prophetess who was not believed. she foresaw the trojan war but could not avert it. in the song, her train represents the last trip of a doomed romance, which ends in the house of the seven gables, which is haunted by a family cursed by a man unfairly executed for witchcraft. the song is about a couple who are not deeply in love so their love will not last, although they do not know it at the time. they spend their last night together in the haunted house in the town where the owner of the land on which the house was built was one of many executed as a witch .
