Great style. Voice and guitar go together so well

I love this - warm, gently wry, catchy chorus. Partlicularly liked the bit in the second half where "Baby" is all "I'm good with cats, that's good, right?"

[pic]

Very cool repeating the song from another perspective. So lovely to have this story. As always, Wobbie brilliance!

[pic]

Clever and good and true! And done with clarity simplicity and probably really quickly! Really like the whole concept.

[pic]

Lovely all around song--lyrics, music and vocal performance. Enjoyed this a lot! ❤️

think i could apply this bit to quite a few people I know - think I might want this on a t-shirt.

she's very friendly once she knows you

enjoyed this thanks for sharing.

Awww, makes me think of my friend's rescue Australian shepherd/German shepherd mix. Cool how it shift from third to first person. And the "begin again" is such a hopeful note to end on.

@aeye

Cheesy was the best! This is a super sweet song. Our kitties are both rescues ( one is currently sitting under the chair I'm in)

[pic]

It’s funny, I think I know the answer, but I was wondering if this was another animal or a person? You always have so much embedded meaning and nuance, which I love. Great song!

[pic]

thanks Rob.yeah first was my dog, the late, great Cheesy, and the second half i liked the term a rescue to refer to being adopted but i was a bit too mysterious ;) thanks

[pic]

Cute and yet a little bit devastating, awww. Really clever.

[pic]

aww thanks

[pic]

first: i have also written a song called rescue baby ages ago!!!! so it is really cool to see what somebody else does with the name! this is absolutely lovely and gorgeous and cute <3 rescueeee baby has some kind of very bluesy vibe to it. love the perspective switch in the lyrics! I do love cats- very cool companions

[pic]

thanks! interesting, what was yours "about"? reading the comments i think i was too vague at hinting at meaning... i am shy about writing about vulnerable things, get "squeamish". But regardless of how the song came out, i was glad to find using the term "a rescue" for being adopted. i am gonna use it from now on!

[pic]

What a clever song - sweet and reflective. I love the turn half way through in perspective. I am drawn to the melody with "I wonder how it was back then". I want to hear it again.

[pic]

thank you !

[pic]

I guessed what this was about by the third line, but like how you changed the viewpoint in the second round of verse. Great skirmish song!

[pic]

yeah thanks, i was a bit too vague i think... maybe a pointing bridge needed! to me it is "about" being adopted (a rescue) and similarities/understanding my rescue dog. i am glad to have found that link "a rescue" i like the term

@ruby

This is great. Relatable and I love your voice. Keep them coming.

[pic]

thank you

[pic]

Heartwarming, delivered in your unique, compelling, straight spoken style - Loving your art Wobbie

[pic]

aw thanks too kind

[pic]

That's sweet story. I've known a few and once they get settled they're just the sweetest dogs. Good on ya.

[pic]

thanks!

[pic]

Yup they come with all their foibles. We really don't know their life before, this is pretty much doggy heaven here, surprised they don't queue at the door. Nice song Wobs

[pic]

goes for me too ;)

[pic]

Lovely. To take the prompt and run with rescue dog is brilliant. Who doesn’t like a rescue dog that is very friendly and good with cats. I want to rescue that dog!!!

[pic]

thanks rich.... i was a bit too obscure in the shift to me as an adopted "rescue" but i am glad to have found the re appropriated term and might expand this skirmish song to be a bit clearer

[pic]

Love this so much. Your voice is amazing and so is the recording of your guitar. Both are great!

[pic]

thanks Matt!

[pic]

Aw, this is so very sweet! We’re all rescue babies one way or another…. Nicely done, Wobbie 🧡

[pic]

thanks :)

[pic]

This is such a sweet take on the prompt! I love this.

[pic]

I love the way this shifts and how the initial rescue species is unknown. Is it a dog? We aren't sure, but it leaves the listener to picture whatever they wish. Nice job!

[pic]

thanks :)

[pic]

I like the changeover to talking about yourself - this whole tune is a great treat Keep on Wobbing!

[pic]

haha thanks!

[pic]

This made me smile so big. "I'm very friendly once I know you," ha, fantastic.

[pic]

Oh I love this being a fellow animal person! I too love the way you shifted focus halfway through. Really nice!

[pic]

thanks Todd!

[pic]

Aww, Wobbie - what a sweet way to talk to yourself and about yourself. When i read the words on the page, I thought it would be neat to have it go somewhere beyond the dog, then when I listened I saw you were way ahead of me. That wondering how it was back then - makes so much sense with a dog, ours used to be scared of men in uniform when I was a kid, but then it also makes so much sense in looking at ourselves - what were the things from babyhood and childhood that happened and contributed to who and how we are now.

[pic]

thanks nancy :)

[pic]

Nice strumming, pleasant vocals and the change from describing a dog to describing the narrator is genius.

[pic]

Another chance to begin again.... I really like that line. It's hopeful. Nice how you turn it into something about the narrator, rather than more about ?dogs.
