Liner Notes
Just a little thing I needed to get out of my system, based on a thing I saw on some social media thing last week.
This is on my new 8 string, steel string, baritone #ukulele. Honestly not sure it still counts as a ukulele, but I love how it sounds whatever it is. I'm definitely calling it #nerdfolk and #filk

Lawl. This is pretty accurate for me too. You'd have to pay me to use it. I laughed out loud at the decoding sheep bleatings. Classic Edwin vibes, and yes, the new instrument has a pleasing full sound to it. Great start to FAWM.
What a great write, love all of the examples and really like that uke sound. Good rhymes, this all works for me!
I so agree with you!!! Though I might leave out the demons and substitute the hamster in my head than keeps me away at night. Hope to hear this live at a future InterMezzo.
Hahaha I am delighted. I really didn't guess where you were going with this until the chorus. Here, have a cupcake 🧁
The new instrument sounds phenomenal!
Oh this is great, I was listening through trying to figure out where it was leading and then the punchline got me. So good! And the baritone uke sounds really nice too, I think it works really well for the song and your voice.
Well, I think the Farting Cat and its ilk are actually aiming for the grafitti in the loo level, and Grok already has the gross part down.
Of course, I'd not recomment advice from the loo scribbles either...
Not sure I’d know what to do with 8 whole strings, but you clearly do - it sounds great! Some excellent lines here, I like how they sort of get more surreal as you go along. And it’s a hard relate on the punchline for me. Well done!
I do love a good punchline song and that is a target well deserving of a thump. Aha this was great
An anthem for our times. And a FAWmanifesto. I am intrigued by the structure of this one. The melody carries all of musical structure. Lyrically, versus, pre-chorus and chorus are identical. Identical. The repetition of all these unrelated, things not quite explained leads to a big payoff in the refrain.
good one - i don't even know what chatgpt is answers anywhere are hard to find
its been a long time since i had a needed injection of nerdy folk, and this is just the right dose. i love the bigger sound of this batitone 8 string. it gives the whole package a fuller sound.
Very amusing - One would certainly have better chance of accuracy from any of those things, rather than ChatGPT. I've been thinking of a baritone uke - wasn't even aware there was an 8 string option...hmm...
I'm not terribly well versed in stringed things that don't get plugged into very big amps, but this does sound absolutely gorgeous!
its a uke in my world! Its a real nice Edwin story, you are very good at this style! My tarot card told me you would have a song early on ha ha. nice start mate
I feel a baritone, steel-strung, 8-string ukulele is treading very close to mandola territory, but it sounds great. Lovely, astute and witty lyrics, as ever. Great stuff.
Good fun and good philosophy together. Nice start!
