Inconsequential Ghosts (FakeIt Challenge)

Liner Notes
I don’t think I could have made this #fakeit work this time without the rescuing help of today’s challenge #uglytrack! This was me noodling around with Elaine’s FakeIt lyrics and attempting to play her chords, while sitting in an active homeschool co-op lunchroom. I have no idea what these lyrics are about but somehow there’s a schoolyard, so the children’s chatter seems consequential after all. :)
Lyrics
inconsequential ghosts
inconsequential ghosts; small ghosts ghosts that cling to legs of tables mediant ghosts - sulky ghosts ghosts who'd haunt new statuettes if they were able
racing shades have made my head a schoolyard hiding, tagging, taunt(ing) (dis-)spirits make my soul hard...
never-married ghosts; winding ghosts ghosts that wring a mumbled fable from my memory quisling ghosts: filed ghosts. ghosts to sweep up after, haunt the office empty
sleeping shades with one eye open after-hours schoolyard never graduating this seems - too hard

I love that you recorded this in the lunchroom with kids in the background! Children make ghosts less consequential, or more? Both work! I especially like the melody you came up with for the second stanza. And your soft vocal, even if it came about because you were in a noisy space, really works for the ghosty subject.
The schoolyard! Very cool setting! It's so active, I can picture it almost like I'm there. And maybe you're the singing ghost. I kind of love that BUZZ on "sulky ghosts" (haunted and spooky maybe!). Also the loudly singing kid in the background on "after hours schoolyard" - that was amazing timing
Ha! This is great! Quite a production after all, lending such a realistic atmosphere!
You demoed in the perfect location to sing about schoolyards past (if indeed we fakeit players were). I can totally picture the setting you sat in to do this. The ambiance lends a bit of the flavour of those schooltime moments in The Wall, which I listened to today for the first time in ages.
