I couldn't resist these juicy lyrics by @kahlo2013

Liz (kahlo2013) says: I absolutely love the music @artie brought these lyrics to life with! It is perfect with a great driving punk presence and fabulous vocals with attitude! Grateful for the gift of awesome music!

Lyrics

You’ve been selfish faking I’ve been giving making more time for you

You’ve been wanting taking Now I’m slowly waking up to the truth

I’ve been a host I’ve been a fool for you…

Calculated Codependent Cynical Condescending You

Problematic Pernicious Parasitic Precarious You

Stalking stealing, I’ve been barely being As you’ve crawled through

You’ve been happy growing I’ve been hardly holding on just for you

I’ve been blind now I’m through with you

I love your harmonies and that amazing guitar track! Your lyrics and vocal performance is very nice as well!

Damn this is great. What a collab. Artie, your guitar tones and vocal melody fit so well with the lyrics. Love the vocal harmonies at the chorus, which feels like it was written for a punk song. Great job y'all!

Punk definitely seems to right way to tackle these lyrics! I like the chorus especially, with the alliterative adjectives.

Great take on these lyrics! Reading them, my brain went to folk (because of course it did), but I love that you made them into metal. I also like how you structured the chorus, both melodically and lyrically. The fade-out totally works.

I think I've said here about 100 times how much I wish I could write a metal song. Love listening, but SO different from what I do myself. Great collaboration on this one--always wonderful lyrics from Liz and yeah, you've got those metal skills! Nice vocal, too! ❤️

@debs

It's bangin' but oh so smooth in the ear and it feels real good! The prosody is absolute perfection. Well done both of you!

I've always imagined a softer touch with Liz's lyrics, but the rockin' approach really works here. Good job!
