So, I worked with David last year and was so blown away by the progression of what I initially shared and what it became. Admittedly, this isn’t my preferred genre, but watching him make these things has really opened my mind quite a lot.

I enjoyed it so much (and it turns out making things that my non-musician friends think is good is pretty fun) that I reached out in the off season to check in.

He assured me that he was way too busy to do music anytime other than the allowable 28 days of FAWM and that he would be taking no collab requests as this limited window worked best for him with randomness and little commitment.

Understandable.

Then we were matched in a #randomcollaboration and I felt like I cheated the universe.

He has since thrown in the towel as real life has taken precedence but completed this collab before beating feet.

Anyway, here’s a lil tribute to the asshole our brains can be.

I got to do a collab with David last year and it was a dream come true for me as well. So I know how you feel. It's amazing what he can do. It's like everything he does sounds like a record. Now that I'm done glazing him up, let me say Jen's vocal is great as well. 😀

It's obvious David put a lot into this. The fat bottom is his signature. I love the synth callbacks. I really love when the title of a song is repeated a lot. I just have this thing where you shouldn't have to guess the name of the song. Here it is clear. I love the 8th note chord progression. I like how that 2nd verse goes to a cross stick, then snare.

I almost couldn’t recognize my former random collab buddy. Wow, I’m really impressed how unexpected this is. Well done! It’s not usually my preferred genre, but this is really brave and eye-opening. I like it!

Wow the production on this is amazing! I love the line "fuck/marry/kill the ghosts inside my head." The vocals have this really cool ghostly quality idk how you did that but it sounds great!
