14 years of FAWM. Am I doing this? Yes, I'm doing this.

Every February, I crawl out of the void, fire up Logic, and let the music take over. I love experimenting across all genres—funk, jazz, rap, metal, country, classical, or Latin.

I’m in Los Angeles, I love this community, and I’m always open to collaborations. If you want to make something, hit me up.

I'm not using any AI whatsoever for my music or lyrics.

How the fuck are you writing so fast?

A few ways. 1 - I'm currently unemployed. I was laid off in November. I am looking for jobs and interviewing. But yes, not having to work full-time right now gives me time. 2 - This is my 14th FAWM and I've learned how to write and produce quickly. I use Logic and I know my way around. 3 - I'm not precious with any idea. I usually go with the first thing and make it work. 4- I use autotune for vocals bc it would take way longer to nail a good vocal take. 5 - I try not to spend too much time choosing sounds. I'm sure you have a few goto sounds that you gravitate to and know how to tweak. 6 - I keep of a list of song ideas that I know I'll want to write. And I have a playlist of songs that inspire me. I'll reference those. So I'm never stuck.

Ah crap, sorry about the work. That is hard.

I think I'm mostly like you: I can't sing, but FL Studio can fix that. And throughout the year, if I get an idea, I hum it into a voice recording app.

Fuck, number 5 though. It's a curse.

Hear you on 2 as well. I have been using FL Studio since it was called Fruity Loops, and most of what I can do is because flying the software is now second nature.

But only during Feb. I don’t make music any other time.

You can't sing? Bro, c'mon. I also do not make music except during February. Every single year I get pumped up during FAWM and say, "This year I'm gonna keep writing and actually release songs." But it's yet to happen. I love writing, but I don't like editing and laboring over stuff I do live: singing, guitar playing.

I want to release my best songs from FAWM. There's about 18 or so. I think the songs deserve to be the best they can be. But that process is tiresome. What do you think?

I never work on anything beyond FAWM; life just does that to me. It has always been about the making for me, even when I did it professionally. So I get my dopamine and I'm out until the next Feb.

I still think you should do it, but do an EP of 5 or 6. I think otherwise you are setting yourself up for failing to clear a hurdle that you placed in front of you.

I appreciate the compliment, but you have never heard me without the healing power of Newtone (FL Studio's pitch correcting tool). I am pitchy as fuck.

Once more unto the breach, good buddy.
