Every Star You See
Liner Notes
Those Bridge11 boys are back with another blissed out #spacerock tune about, er, well, space, innit! At one point the guitars on this had 4 reverb pedals running in series. That's the sound of space, right there 😀 #space #rock #oddtimesignature
Words & vocals: Mr Gordon Guitars, bass, drums and noises: Mr Sapient
Lyrics
The numbers are enough to blow your mind Around nine hundred and fifty thousand light years Just to the edge of the milky way If we could travel faster than we could ever imagine
There are more stars in the universe Than there are grains of sand on the beach At least a billion trillion That’s a whole lot of stars we’ll never reach
The planet we live on could fit into the sun About 1.3 billion times over And a teaspoon of a neutron star Weighs over a trillion kilograms
More than the weight of all the humans on earth And every star you see, sheds light from the past I don’t think we are alone in the universe But it’s unlikely we’ll ever know for sure
So for now we just watch in wonder

Oh I like the organ in this one! You guys know how much I love your Bridge11 #spacerock tracks & this one doesn't disappoint. @sapient, you're giving me bad ideas about the use of reverb pedals 😆 I might have to chain a bunch of reverb like you've done here. Marvellous track gents! I look forward to more.
So for now, I'll just keep listening in wonder 😄
See You In The Shadows…
Thanks! Not a single organ to be found in there though... It's all guitar ;) (the organ is actually the sound of an EHX POG2 pedal)
Haha, I sould have known it was a guitar!
See You In The Shadows…
Ah i think i know whats coming, getting into my spacesuit My anual does of space rock! yup you get that sound of space although i hear a bit of sapient chug sneaking in at the back
You guys are always one of the coolest pairs of FAWMcollabers. This drew me right in, love the odd time and how the song flows. Great stuff! I feel super educated on space now
Science space rock - what a great sound! Please excuse my association map for this: bits of the Police in odd time with gilmourish guitar solo. I like it
Definitely has a space vibe. The vocals and instrumentation flow smoothly and the ending gives the impression of thrusters sending a ship deeper into space. Great job!
Whoa this is excellent! I just love your collaborations, as I just never know what to expect other than great! The music and vocals match perfectly. I like your timing on this—it definitely has a good groove, which isn’t always easy with 7/8! This song takes so many turns and yet is cohesive. What a cool song! Very well done!
I love the sound you guys make as Bridge11! Very cool. All the delay and echo.
Oh this is the sound of space, indeed! Very cool, always love what you two come up with!
Hooray for new Bridge11 music! I was hoping you two were going to make something together. Discovering the fact that four reverb pedals were used at the same time in this brought me much joy before I'd even hit "play." Very much my style, chaps.
This is very tasty. Loving the 7/4 and the most splendid chugging section with a fine bit of soloing from Mr W. Highly educational, too. Bring on the SCIENCE!
Spacey awesomeness, I have been teleported by the noises. Is that the side-chain vocal delay goodness I hear (ducked delay)?
There are MANY delays on this one. So. Very. Many... 🤣
Such a dreamy song! I just feel like swaying for days. And it's educational too!
