is this my home yet?
Liner Notes
is it cheating if i wrote half the lyrics before february started? fawm gave me inspo to finally finish this off <3
Lyrics
tiredness can kill, but i'll keep on pushing through icy road ahead, but i know just what to do half an hour to go, still in the coat that i outgrew in a moment i'll come to
spire's on the horizon, how i'll miss this change of heart think i'm going somewhere, but i can't get past the start maybe we'll skip to the end, straight past my favourite part i swear i'm trying to be smart
some day,one day i'll feel well enough
there's a chance that you can look past my faults
raindrops on the glass, that's how you know we're getting close nothing that can scare me cause my fears are comatose dopamine comes easily, and i might need a dose can't figure out what i want most
i'll keep my curtains open in case someone's looking in i'll hope to feel their sterile gaze glance across my skin everyone fonds it hard so i'll hold up my chin i wanna let myself win

Not cheating to use a song fragment and finish it, there's even a hash tag for that .. #finished_it !
Anyways, I love your voice against the gentle guitar. The shaker is nice and crunchy! What cool chords you've added at "enough" and "past my faults"!
just realised i somehow deleted the entire 3rd verse :') will reupload haha
Your voice is so nice to listen to, crisp and just beautiful! Also, those chord changes are really cool, the percussion is a great added element too. Really feeling this song.
No shame in starting something before february and finishing it during the challenge. It's all part of the experience. I chuckled at the power move of "I'll keep my curtains open in case someone's looking in". Great song.
You needn’t worry about having written some of this before February; there’s actually a forum challenge specifically for finishing things you started previously! This is so cool. The guitar and shaker is so simple but they work so well, and your voice is so sweet. Oooo harmonies at the end! Love it. “Maybe we’ll skip to the end straight past my favorite part” is a great line.
i dig the sort of, like, rising things the chords do in the B section(?)! don't know what i'd call it but i love it. tempo changes are pretty awesome as well!!
thanks! i worried they were a bit messy, so i appreciate this😁
you have such a lovely voice, really paired well with the bright guitar. i'm excited to check out more of your music!
thanks so much!😁
Really nice tune, and it responds well to a stripped-down recording like this :-) The bridge is particularly cool and unexpected
