An exercise in "extreme rhyming" that led to a very silly song.

Lyrics

One June day at noon a buffoon in pantaloons a baboon in new shoes and a raccoon on magic mushrooms ask, "Will we be there soon?" cos they're in a blue hot air balloon held together by superglue and two bones from a spicy stew and the blue hot air balloon floats over a cucumber zoo shooting toward a summer moon and they're singing a tune a groovy new tune called "Three in a Balloon"

Your finest weird lyric rhymes - so much for me not to like here, hot balloons, super glue cucumber buffons bones in stew - you sure you havent been talking to Mrs Cp you made us wait for the melodica but somehow i still like it!

There is a calm assurance to this, like a storyteller who delights in sharing his whimsical, eccentric tale with the world and confident that (or not caring whether) his audience will meet him where he's leading them. It's utterly transporting into its own world with its own world, and it's a wonderful place to be.

Gotta love the title! I always think of your music as 60s psychedelic tie-dye.

If extreme rhyming was an Olympic sport you would be on the podium. See ya round town. Hope to hear this live one day. Happy FAWM!

Whenever I see your titles I always try to imagine where you're going to take them. My first thought was that these three would actually be sealed inside a large latex balloon, leading to their asphyxiation in sort order. I was so wrong. You know I'm a big fan of your acoustic guitar playing. I think it's truly unique. The extreme rhyming is fun...though they could have turned blue as the oxygen was consumed

I am totally here for the silly. Take the rhyming as far as you want, sir. Particularly when it's set to such a lovely, gentle guitar arrangement like this.

One of your wonderful dreamy guitar tunes i love so much! Poetic lyrics, indeed! Especially the cucumber zoo and mostly the „raccoon on magic mushrooms“.
