Outside, it's snowing, dark, cold, and gray... just the right time to stay indoors as much as possible!

And so, I'm kicking off my 6th FAWM this year!

My goal is the same as every year: to have fun and get inspired!

I'm hoping for wonderful collaborations, crazy games, and wild skrimishes! Altough I actually have two jobs I‘ll try to be here as often as possible!

I’m a poet and vocalist and very interested in collabs!

I've never heard of that before! I've done some more research now, and you're right! It's a term from the Third Reich!

In college, I learned that Lebensraum (living space), referred to an expansionist ideology which argued that Germany needed to acquire territory in the east in order to ensure the survival of the Aryan race. My song is about the way that ordinary life continues among or alongside certain horrors: grapes are grown; grapevines are pruned; excellent wines are made; certain populations are expelled or exterminated (pruned), etc. You can have a good year for wine alongside ethnic cleansing, Auslese wine alongside the pursuit of lebensraum? Does that not make sense?

It doesn't really matter. I don't make or perform music anywhere outside the FAWM context. I am one song closer to 14 :)

That makes sense, but the term "Lebensraum" wasn't used, to my knowledge. "Lebensraum" simply means living space. I'd say I know quite a lot about our history, but I've never heard that before.

But then again, I don't know everything!

In order to honor the conditions of the challenge, I would have to sing in German, and you in English. Let’s see if I can get some non-terrible music recorded. I have jury duty now, which is not ideal for making music
