Liner Notes

Nearly there. Two more songs to go now to complete the album. And this one took a wee bit of work to knock it into shape after deciding to use Cantus and the most wonderfully odd "Lea Bertucci - Extended Vox" samples to add a bit of colour. But I think it kinda works. At least for now. #metal #blackmetal #chanting

Lyrics

Kneel in contemplation The orrery slowly turns Time spent in castigation For sins yet to come A brutal timeline Twelve-segment manifold For these unwritten horrors Kneel and kneel and kneel again

Absolution - this bleak parade Absolution - final cascade Absolution - this trick of life Absolution - final time

The monkish starting is chilling! It goes on long enough to really set the bleak mood before the guitars and the shouting voice come in. The soaring guitar solo after all that is excellent. Gotta love the frantic vibes separating the dark heavy sections. I like the higher goblin growl on “absolution”. The church bells to ring us out are a cool way to end the piece. Great work!

Nicely done! Great production and atmosphere. It's great you can make really finished songs in such a short amount of time.

Another awesome production sir! Always a trip to listen to your epics. .

Quite the journey! I really liked the guitar arpeggios and then suddenly the energy being turned to 11.

LOVE the intro to this. You're the master of these types of intros to set things up and then whack it into orbit. Seriously awesome work here. The structure of this is just so cool.

The construction of this one is so cool. Love how all the parts work together, so interesting! Such a great, slow, simple guitar theme, but strong enough to build around. Great double bass action.

I like the slow burns - and that inital vox makes you go - what!!!!! love the guitar when it jumps out! Enjoying your songs as always - this one is my fav so far ( what no synth ha ha)

The core song is awesome, very rhythmic & heavy - the intro & outro push it to the next level!

What a long and atmospheric intro. But it was completely worth it. I like the structure and the energy

Great tone here, and the samples add such a great atmosphere. The proper black metal riffage from 3 minutes in is particularly killer, and then the subsequent breakdown - you're a natural at making these slick and groovy transitions. Great work!

The sheer consistency of your quality and riffage this year is outstanding. The recurring choir motif and religious imagery is a really unique and effective throughline.

As a standalone, this one is so pretty. It's clean and bright with moments of unsettling heaviness and discordance. It reminds me of "Path" by Apocalyptica. Even the black metal thrashy drums work in context, which isn't usually something I gravitate towards. Great entry.

I really love the build on this one, it's got weight to it! Love that this is my first listen this morning, good way to wake up haha

Always glad to provide that "who-needs-coffee-anyway?" service ;)
