A very midnight song. Reflective and muted but with emotion. That "So hey section" is melodically moving, floating, and effortless. But what I love most is how the lyrics cut so hard. I feel ya.

Awesome chord changes and delivery. I visualize a smoky lounge with whiskey and martinis. “Before the end begins” is such a cool turn of phrase. Loved it!

This is a lovely song. I think the lyrics are solid. The song writing is also stella, melody, chord structure, and so on. Not sure it needs much more at all really. Ragged, you say, but if I was listening to it live somewhere, as it is, it would have really hit the spot!

Bit of a Bacharach vibe with this one (usually a good sign, right!). You’ve very neatly captured the existential delight that is living in 2026. I love that ‘so don’t come down on me today’ sentiment too, I’m sure most of us have had that moment. Oof, and then where you take your voice at the end is glorious - proper soul music that.
