I've been asked "is this personal?". Not in particular about this song, but just generally about stuff people have heard in the past. The answer is of course it's personal. Also, no. I really don't know how to tell the difference. Some of it is, some of it isn't, I guess. Sometimes I just need to fit a rhyme scheme.

Beautiful song! Challenging those "voices" are an ever present reality for most, and there's always something to work through, get over. Love the break, the "ahhh's," and the harmonies!

That second guitar that comes in verse 2 really feels like the heartbeat of the song to me. Great vibe going here, and I love the build up and come down structure you've got. The big ahhhs have a kind of church vibe, and I mean that in the best way I can.

Sounds Great!!! Your guitar playing on this has a Nick Drake vibe to it (to my partly deaf ears anyways). I like the concise lyrics too. Nice lead vocals and very sweet harmony and the Reverby Aaahhhs are Fantastic!!!

Making art is always personal even when it isn’t. This is art! I was already hooked at “you can talk to cops, you can say your piece, you could also stop” and THEN everything else happened - the way you are playing with those harmonies and the tension is unreal. Really love this

What a lovely song. Enjoying the guitar layers in the second verse especially. Really open it’s up. The ahh part was awesome too. Overall well done with everything! Lyrics are beautiful and perfect. This is a keeper for sure.
