#BadSongClub prompt: Ducks in a Row! Written in about 30 minutes - recorded in about 2 hours. 😂 Had this silly song initial direction that morphed into something more serious. Thanks @carleybaer for the prompt!
Lyrics
Ducks away - we make it through In that way - we feel it too A wish to where the sky turns blue Row and tow - we make it through
(Ducks in a row / Ducks in a column)
If we pile them high, sigh, we're screwed Where sun shines bright, eyesight skewed Or this way - or that way - they tumble too Our heads a bullseye at this latitude
If we lay the line - two by two All along the ground - sound and true The ducks don't dodge our focused mood When they see us, we don't lose
(Ducks in a row / Ducks in a column)
Never stack your ducks too high You're sure to lose them in the sky Row them out on the ground So that they can always be found
But if you panic, shake, or scream Know that we all have this dream They'll try to get out of control Keep your ducks in a row
Ducks away - we make it through In that way - we feel it too A wish to where the sky turns blue Row and tow - we make it through
(Ducks in a row / Ducks in a column)
Very nice and tuneful adaptation of the prompt. This is great, Michael and the message, though subtle is most certainly there.
