Liner Notes
Been working on this one for too long now, and number 3 is already snapping at its heels, so it's about time it gets posted so I can move on...
Lyrics
Tendrils of ochre light seep over this cracked path All hail the black prince Blessèd herald of convention
Wreathed in splendour beholden to none the avatar of despair steps forth
Impositions from behind inflation's bright veil Rupture causality Portend the annunciation
Degenerate Yet born of nothing The void incarnate Saviour, catechist, tyrant
Heed The hounds of Ishtar Behold The hounds of Ishtar Beware The hounds of Ishtar

Delightfully old school bit of rocking ;) Perfect to bicycle towards a strong headwind of snowy blizzards
The imagery in the lyric is impressive. I can feel the darkness in the music. Awesome guitar solo!
🤘 no notes.
You always manage to create such vivid imagery, both musically and with your lyrics. Disturbing and enjoyable at the same time. And I bow before your prowess on the guitar!
That was a sick track, absolute piledriver of a song. the solo was so good, squealed in all the right places.
I feel like starting my own mosh pit with Dylan. Great stuff neighbour!
My energy was running down, so I thought I'd head to see what Sapient been up to ... it doesn't disappoint 😀 ... I was wide awake after the first bar and now I'm fully charged up. BEWARE THE HOUNDS OF ISHTAR! Guitars sound amazing. Harmonized shredding is wonderful.
wow thats one intense sound!!! and I have to smile at 'the hounds of Ishtar'- as Ishtar was a big budget flop of a movie (its actually quite charming in its own way as I remember) starring dustin hoffman and warren beatty, directed by elaine may. (too much info there, back to the song-- wow! tho without the lyrics printed i would have not been able to make out what the vocal was saying. Wow that guitar solo cuts thru so satisfyingly... its all great ..
Strapped in go! and away! classic metal lines and those drum dominates. Those vocals just flow through you and i love that back wail!
Dark and gritty and just what I needed this afternoon! Killer work.
Yasss, here we go! Really digging those dissonant and ripping lead guitars again! They make the atmosphere very nightmarish. Nicely brutal vocals.
I was cooking dinner with this track blasting through the kitchen speakers. I was making Surinamese Roti, and it felt as if the red chillies were dropping straight out of the speakers and into the pan. Tasty!
You are, and remain, the gold standard for this sound in the FAWM-iverse. 👨❤️👨
The note / tone you hit on "Rupture causality" literally hurt me through the computer.
And then there was a harmony solo, and I became unabashedly aroused.
So good, my friend. Rest assured, I will behold the hounds of Ishtar.
Love the heaviness, the tapping adds a fun contrast. The verse vocal rhythms are so unusual. They feel very disjointed and chaotic, adding to the unsettling feel. Amazing guitar solos as usual.
10/10 no notes this is awesome
🤘 killer bm sounds, particularly the riffs and that just right guitar. This reminds me that The Epic of Gilgamesh has been on my to-read list for too long.
This scratches a very crusty itch for me
The deranged needly guitar in the instrumental break is so good, especially when it harmonizes! Cuts like a dagger! Vocals and drums and guitar all so on point. Oh and those primal screams at “rupture” and “incarnate” 🤌🤌🤌
I can feel this in my belly. It squirms beautifully <3
Forgot to comment here, though I already listened some days ago. I love that melodic riff 🤘🏻😈🤘🏻
