Liner Notes

Sort of a #firstfruits I suppose. This has been an ongoing theme lately, both with friends and songwriting colleagues, and my students who feel like musically they're not where they want to be, and it's a pep talk for myself as well. It's ok to be where you are.

All instruments are live except my UBASS ran out of batteries so I had to play a MIDI bass.

This one is a real toe-tapper. Loving the affirmation that it is always okay to be where I am. Plus every song needs a good vowel sound hook and this one has pluuuuuhenty!

Ooo, I LOVE that vocal melody. If I didn't do the stuff I did, then I think I would want to write melodies this sweet. No, really. I know it sounds weird, but when I was taking singing lessons last year I had so much fun. But then I just fall back on roaring cos I still like it best ;) Anyway. Yes. Gotta agree with the sentiment here. Verrry cool message.

Ooooo, so fun! Love that rhythm - you can't help but feel upbeat listening to this no matter how you started. Good reminder - sometimes it feels like I'm not making any progress and then somebody from FAWM will tell me how I'm even better. They can see my progress when I can't.

my first listen of FAWM 26 - and its a beaut! I think we can all do with a reminder that 'Keepin up with the Joneses don’t make no sense' - loving those Ooohs in the chorus. SEtting the Bar high as always Carley!
