The Rabbits

Liner Notes
Some #ukulele #nerdfolk about someone getting what they deserve in the end, like we might hope everyone does.
I had all sorts of ideas for this, but no time at the moment... perhaps later. So for now, just a quick uke and vocal demo where apparently I haven't worked out the tune properly yet.
Lyrics
The magician's hands are shaking There's jitters in the wand When he sees that dawn is breaking And that times are moving on
We see the cards he's dealing We see they've all been marked The diamond's there for stealing We can tell he's losing heart
And the rabbits hold no fear Now the tricks are falling flat They grab him by the ears and They stuff him in his hat
No magic word can save him now No secret exit planned No trap door in the staging There can be no sleight of hand
He must concede defeat and know The debts will soon be paid Revenge is tasting sweet and They are getting it in spades
The rabbits hold no fear Now the tricks are falling flat They grab him by the ears and They stuff him in his hat
Better now to give than to receive They know that there is nothing up his sleeve
So with cheers loud and hearty It's time to join the club We'll celebrate and party When the ball falls from his cup
The rabbits hold no fear Now the tricks are falling flat They grab him by the ears and They stuff him in his hat
They grab him by the ears and They stuff him in his hat

This appeals to me very much...in large part because it reminds me of a favourite movie scene where kangaroos "shoot back" at their hunters.
Your recordings continue to sound good too.
I've seen Watership Down. Never, EVER piss off a rabbit.
And I've never heard anyone else get the sort of sounds out of a uke that you manage to do. Bravo!
The 8 steel strings surely help :). Cheers!
I like the idea of the rabbits are up to it. Very catch chorus, love that they grab him by the ears and they stuff him in his hat line
