Quite some time ago, my partner, @mystiquemuse wrote a poem called A Paradox Parable, and some time later, I set it to music. It is the tale of two beings who lived in different worlds and times, but found a portal that let them come together. They had a child, a halfbreed, and decided they should settle somewhere, but found neither of their worlds would welcome their family. So they stepped into the paradox, "and in the future past they will stay".

I was singing that song recently, for friends who had heard it before, but this time one of them asked what happened to that child. This is the child's song.

They traveled realms and seas, forests and stations in space They found some lonely havens, surrounded by bigots and hate There’s got to be a better way, a retreat from all the danger and shame They gathered some refugees, and worked together toward that aim. CHORUS:

In a lovely twist of time, they found a being who made their heart sing Who had eyes only for them, but who welcomed the coterie in Together they created a nexus, a strong net of love and intentions And built a sanctuary, with portals to all dimensions
