Lyrics

I point out the absurdities of life I question all beliefs with the sharpest knife I rip up your complacency But I do it oh so graciously I’m a philosopher of sorts I do my best work on the golf course

I try to live a moral life Try to make it through the daily strife Do no harm to self or others Try to understand the Jonas brothers And live as best as I can What does it mean to be a real man?

I don’t know and I don’t care I’m still mourning the loss of my hair I used to care a long time ago I was riding along, but I lost my flow Now I’m a philosopher of sorts Contemplating life from the golf course

Lovely, lovely tune--it's all there: perfect guitar tone, and wonderful vocal over your lyrics. Great job! ❤️

I like the vibe on this song ... it takes its time, and suits the lyrics, like someone who spends their time mulling things over. And, great vocals as always, GT!

Love the honesty in your lyrics: I will know where to go find you(and what you look like) when I need a philosopher’s opinion!

"Try to understand the Jonas brothers" I LOL'd her. My daughter used to be into those vapid young lads.

This has echoes of Roy Harper - which is high praise in my book.

Really like what you've done here, it's got grit and angles and detail - the lyrics meld with the melody so well. Favourite line Contemplating life from the golf course

I love the arc, starting out in perfect seriousness and collapsing in contradictions as fast as humanly possible. It was the juxtaposition of “golf course” and “moral life” that gave the character away for me. A nice touch to keep a straight face and not give away any of the irony in the tone.
