Star Light, Star Bright

Liner Notes
The FAWM Sprints have so far arrived when I am very busy. But I was driving home from IndyFurCon and it seems that I-65 northbound is a good place to write a song, and so I did. Let's see if another comes along.
In the meantime, the lyrics for the chorus should be familiar. :)
Lyrics
(Chorus) Star light, star bright, First star that I see tonight, I wish I may and I wish I might Have the wish I’m wishing here tonight.
All the planets have gone to hide Round the sun on the other side. And even Luna has gone away So all the stars can come out and play.
I wish that I had a place to stand With someone waiting to hold my hand And if my wishes should all come true, The one who’s standing there is you.
(Bridge) All the wishes that might be ours Are falling down on the light of stars. Wish together or wish apart, But all our wishes come from the heart.
Lying down, we can count the stars And all the wishes that might be ours. One thing that I know is true: That all my wishes depend on you.
(Chorus twice) Have the wish I’m wishing here tonight.

This is so catchy and jaunty but also sweet and romantic. It's finally not so hot in the evenings here--I might actually go for a walk. Your vocals sound strong and resonant--great tone. And the guitar complements very well!
Fun song. Very jaunty. I like the blend of voice and guitar. The tones work well together. Very catchy.
Nice work!
So fun! I love your vocal delivery, I love the bounciness, great lyrics that paint a fun picture! I was with you laying there looking up at the stars! Honestly, if I hadn’t been alone walking in the park with other people doing the same this morning, listening on earbuds, I might have started clapping and seeing along with the last chorus. It is so catchy!
Guitar is great, rhythm and tone both. The delivery works well for me in support of the words. It comes across in a way that suggests the singer is reasonably confident about wishes coming true.
IndyFurCon! I have a dear friend who I believe attends regularly. And I miss my own work trips to Indiana. Such a pretty little tune about wishing. But tucked in among the lines there’s a little romance story being told that is super sweet. Nice and easy and enjoyable performance as well.
