A song about mom. Not sure how happy I am with it but I'm tried of trying to make it sound better.

Lyrics

I never went hungry I never missed a meal But I caught my mother crying With no bread but the heel

We ran out of burger The chicken went bad Scrambled eggs for dinner We ate what we had

I could tell she was worried By the tears she was crying But she never gave up She never stopped trying

I went off to college On scholarships and loans I sometimes felt weary In the city all alone

My mother would ask me If I was doing okay I could never tell her I said I was good that day

I could tell she was worried By the tears she was crying But she never gave up She never stopped trying

Now I am older My mother is gone I remember her lessons And try to stay strong

Still, I am worried Still, I am crying But I'll never give up I'll never stop trying

I'll never give up I'll never stop trying

Man it sounds great. What a beautiful and moving tribute to an obviously amazing woman and mother. We often don't appreciate until later in life what our parents (and grandparents!) did for us. Fantastic track TC.

Sounds great as usual, the performance is stellar.

This is lovely right from the piano in the beginning up to the determination and optimism at the end. Never give up, indeed!
