Took a bit of a different approach to "found sounds". Fired up a random file picker and loaded it with all my audio files and it found this bass sample, so i wrote a 30-second thing using only that and some effects.

I like it. It's short and simple, yet could easily be a flavour piece on an album.

Reminds me of the soundtrack to that really hard level of an 80s video game that I could never get past. That distorted kick really packs a punch.

It makes me think of the Head Cleaner cassette tapes - listening feels like it’s scrubbing things out of my brain and that now I should be ready to make some music.
