Liner Notes
decided to try a #AAD (album a day) today.
woke up feeling inspired to play with #Classical music forms/structures since i really know nothing about them. so i spent some time reading and watching videos, and learned that symphonies often have 4 movements.
so today i composed a 4-track #Experimental "chambertronica" EP for:
- drum machine
- bass
- rhodes
- cello
- trumpet
- flute
being a n00b, i did get help from claude to help me build a "roadmap" of song structure and chord suggestions. but i wrote and performed/programmed all the melodies myself in logic, using VSTs (EZ, SWAM) and a MIDI keyboard.
this is movement two in that is a slow, sparse, and in the relative major C. all four movements use A-C-E as a melodic theme, rendered in different ways.
the whole EP is:
- trip-hop sonata
- psych lullaby ← THIS
- fuzz minuet
- dub rondo
ha, nice work! you've got some melodic stuff going there for sure, and its great that you're diving into a new genre!
