Burrito Invasion
Skirmish: Invasion (@robinleaf) Challenge: FOOD!Liner Notes
When I did the #fold skirmish prompt I mentioned that I almost wrote a song about burritos, and several commenters have suggested that I go ahead and write a song about burritos. I didn’t really have an angle on the burrito subject, so I decided to see how it worked with this prompt, #invasion.
Might add a little more but the hour is up — I came to this late!
Also works as #foodsongs
Lyrics
Burrito invasion Uncloaked overhead With cherry tomato lights Some fleet of objects I’ve identified As folded tortillas that fly Burrito invasion
Burrito invasion I’m hungry to be taken Transport me to your leader If there’s something good eat there Burrito invasion
Burrito invasion With saucers of salsa Arranged on a table of sky I hope some are breakfast And that they will land Cause I’m not a taco guy Burrito invasion
BRIDGE There’s a craft to such craft I assume high intelligence Led these burritos to me I’ll meet them with wonder And ponder their makers Then probe one for bean-type and cheese
Burrito invasion I’m hungry to be taken Transport me to your leader If there’s something good eat there Burrito invasion

I know what book you mean, and it was definitely a favorite in our house. 🙂🌯
Haha, now I’m hungry. This reminds me of the warning there would be taco trucks on every corner if certain things happened and everyone said ‘Yum’!
I have had tacos or burritos several meals on vacation this week, so I’ve got them in the brain!! 🌮
Yay! I knew you could deliver! Flying salsas!

Haha! You made it work and this made me smile! Great skirmish!
Thanks for taking the time to read my draft!
Ha! This is deliciously creative and fun and takes me back to the children’s book where it rained spaghetti! Fun foodie images and fantasy for this burrito fan!
