Lyrics
You believe in a book you have never read You swear itβs true, just because they said The all-seeing eye never seemed to blink The people you loved told you what to think
There was no room for education All you heard was indoctrination You were raised the way they thought was right But they never taught you how to fight your own ignorance
Get educated Donβt stay frustrated Make new friends Try to understand the ones you hated
You were told to hate the world outside You were sure that science and teachers lied Inside your circle everyone seemed kind But all they did was mess with your mind
There was no room for education All you heard was indoctrination You were raised the way they thought was right But they never taught you how to fight your own ignorance
Get educated Donβt stay frustrated Make new friends Try to understand the ones you hated Get educated Donβt stay frustrated Make new friends Try to understand the ones you hated before

This is really good, Max! Your presentation is more gentle than usual, clear delicate guitar-picking, and the birds, especially the sweet tag at the end. And the lyrics! I have a friend who is currently trying to extricate himself from his fundamentalist Christian upbringing, and it is very hard for him. Your lyrics brought me to tears.
p.s. how can I write you, do you have an email? or could you write me? (it's about radio)
Thank you. I dropped a message in your inbox.
Beautiful how an autumn feel and spring energy come together in this song.
Itβs lovely hearing the birds. Were they actually there or did you edit them in later? I enjoy your voice and guitar picking.
No they were there, so were the plane and the helicopter in the beginning. There's only one extra layer, the backing vocals. In my garden are a lot of Great tits, Blue tits, Blackbirds, Chaffinches, Robins and Long-tailed tits. I was glad the Magpies kept quiet for a while.
I like the engagement with the audience right off the bat. The subject matter is compelling. Beautiful strumming. This is a song I would buy.

I absolutely love the birds in the background! Wonderful tune, along with some very nice fingerpicking. Well done!
