#americana #folk #protest For my 14th song I had to shout out my hometown. What the folks back home have gone through these past few months has been horrible to see. I have felt some guilt not being there to help, or to join in the support and/or protests. But this tune just came out yesterday as I reflected on my pride about my home city. I got a little emotional in trying to sing, so the recording was difficult. Took a few liberties/inspirations from Billy Brag and Bruce. MPLS All the way...

What a wonderful tribute and song to end on, I’m so proud of the people here in our hometown, the spirit is strong here for righteousness and resistance to the corrupt government’s private, and over-paid, masked goon squad. I just read that the agents have been reduced to 500, from 3,000 but still 3 times the abnormal norm, so, 500 more to go. Congratulations on hitting your goal so quickly, you had a great run of songs this year, best wishes on your upcoming surgery!

It still completely freaks me out what is happening there. I’ve never identified with a city the way I did Minneapolis. Profoundly shaped who I am. I’m very proud of those who stood up and continue to stand up and I’m with them all the way as well. This is a really great tribute. It's quite catchy and I think the efficiency of it helps too. One of your highlights this year for sure.
