Lyrics
She Raises Children
She stands strong, she stands tall, a mother to us all But if you had your wish and choice, you would erase her will and wall Take away her dignity and put her in a cell She raises children, you raise hell
She bleeds to give birth, she suffers to give life But you call her weak and feeble, only meant to be a wife You think of her as lesser, while you’re king where you dwell She raises children, you raise hell
She holds us when we’re crying, kisses our tears She sings and laughs and plays so we won’t drown in our fears You beat her, put her down, but she’ll get up when she fell She raises children, you raise hell
She stands strong, she stands tall, a mother to us all But if you had your wish and choice, you would erase her will and wall Because you’re scared of what will happen once she’s doing well When she’s done raising children, and starts raising hell When she’s done raising children, and sends you to hell

Such a strong story in your song. It feels good that she gets her revenge in the end. The song has a good punk rock-attitude feel. Very good!
What a beautiful homage to women. Very well written lyrics. Thanks for playing
This is such a powerful lyric of oppression and a pointed commentary! Really love the sharpness of the lyric and the conviction in your delivery.
Quite a story and well told, especially the way it ends for her. Raising children/raising hell is a nice contrast.
