She stands strong, she stands tall, a mother to us all But if you had your wish and choice, you would erase her will and wall Take away her dignity and put her in a cell She raises children, you raise hell

She bleeds to give birth, she suffers to give life But you call her weak and feeble, only meant to be a wife You think of her as lesser, while you’re king where you dwell She raises children, you raise hell

She holds us when we’re crying, kisses our tears She sings and laughs and plays so we won’t drown in our fears You beat her, put her down, but she’ll get up when she fell She raises children, you raise hell
