Everyone's Hero

Liner Notes
I wanted to make an approximation of how this should sound, but my hands have completely failed me. In the absence of a chromatic instrument I can actually play I'd much rather sing it #acapella and come back to it when I can find something like an omnichord. DM sucks.
Anyway, here's how the song should sound. Is it #comedy, #pop or some sort of #academia genre that may not exist?
This is a true story. I'm the boy mentioned by the (female) narrator throughout the song. I have no hard feelings for her, and didn't really at the time (her mark didn't invalidate mine), but the bod/hero dichotomy did kind of get to me. As I said, it wasn't a huge thing, but I found myself writing this twenty-eight years after the fact, so clearly it had some affect at some level...
Lyrics
I don't pay attention in class It's so passé to do, although I got 95% in the end-of-year exam I guess I'm everyone's hero
I won't pay attention in class But I will to the people applauding I don't mind their attention As long as it's me that they're lauding
I'm everyone's hero (Hero) I'm everyone's hero (Hero) I'm everyone's hero (Hero) I'm everyone's hero (Hero)
He does pay attention in class Does his homework, that's quite odd He got 95% in the end-of-year exam I guess he's a stuck-up bod
He must pay attention in class But he doesn't have anything on me I must be the centre of attention 'Cause I'm blonde, and I'm sassy, and pretty
I'm everyone's hero (Hero) I'm everyone's hero (Hero) I'm everyone's hero (Hero) I'm everyone's hero (Hero)
I've got a boyfriend, who everyone admires He's got the teachers, and oddball mates I've got the laugh and the quirks and the smiles He's got a nasal voice that grates
I'm laissez-faire, and they all think that's cool He's so wrapped up in academia I'm popular, successful, desired at school He's a walking encyclopedia
I'm everyone's hero (Hero) I'm everyone's hero (Hero) I'm everyone's hero (Hero) I'm everyone's hero (Hero)
And he isn't So who's clever now?
First 4 lines hit me hard in the "how I was in high-school" feelings.
