Ghost Trees

Liner Notes
This is for the "Violet Edney Folk Art Challenge". I was intrigued by her work and especially by a painting showing a road packed with cars with the ghosts of trees along it. Violet uses ghosts a lot to hint at former states of her scenes. Neat technique.
PS My Irish Grandma actually did live on Cherry Lane in Liverpool. Her and Violet would probably have got on.

Thanks, Brian.
The all too common lament for loss of what's real in the name of "progress", which basically means more concrete and plastic. So much to like here, musically. You tell the story in an engaging and unique way --even though the theme is familiar-- tying the surreal to the familiar. The melody is really strong and quite beautiful. And I enjoyed hearing the full range of your voice on this song!
Thanks Jon
