I was inspired by seeing the same title from @earlyboon (thank you for the spark!) but made sure to write my own lyric before checking out theirs.

Curious what one might write at 3:30am…

Lyrics

Schrödinger and I At the weekend, sat I with tea, He with coffee I patted his cat

“Tomorrow I’ve thought To put her in a box” He said, A bit red To which I replied “A cat likes it inside Of a cardboard square She’ll be happy in there”

“But don’t you forget Where she’s at Once you’ve done that” I patted his cat

“And how will she feel If the box is all steel?” He mused I, confused, Answered: “you’ll have to look To be well off the hook”

With cookies, we sat While he thought about that His affect was flat Just perhaps Time elapsed And I patted his cat

So I said to my friend “I will come round again Not for tea But to see She’s been freed And what state she is in”

“She’s too nice a pet To boxed up and left I will say it like that” And I patted his cat.

I enjoyed this one, but then I love seeing these kinds of things put into song :). Maybe the 3:30am ideas are the best ones... I look forward to hearing it put to music some time!

Now I’m worried about the cat. I always thought Shroedinger’s cat was only theoretical, not one you could pat while sipping tea.

Great idea! I feel the paradox in the words.

You're welcome for the spark! ;) And I like it: what even led up to Schrodinger thinking about his cat in a box...

Hi! Thanks so much for taking a peek at the lyrics. He really took the metaphor too far... ;)

Everyone needs a good train song. And several good cat songs.

Well, then, a good train song is my next goal! :) Thanks for checking out this lyric.

I wasn't sure if it was possible for song lyrics to require a ukulele accompaniment.

Until now.

Well done! I wonder if the melody my brain threw onto this is close to what you have in mind.

I have NO melody in mind yet. I hope one occurs to me!!

Thanks for reading these lyrics. 🙂
