Spooky Times
Skirmish: Getaway music (@200ghosts)Liner Notes
Sorry for my late entry. Spent longer than an hour, still might need some tweaking. It's too late now so here goes, before I changed my mind lol. When I saw the prompt, first thought was to create a meditative piece helping us to escape from reality, but then I thought it is so difficult these days to escape from what is around us. Probably took the prompt into a totally different direction lol. Anyhow, here is what I came up with. Thank you for listening. For some reason I had fun creating this. If anyone hears a potential for a collaboration, please let me know. I can imagine it as a theatrical type of song or a spoken word. My thoughts were about the news which are packed with spooky situations, uncertainty, no stability, I actually didn't think of a specific political situation but rather the whole thing about everything getting more expensive, the air is becoming less clear, everything around us gets worse. Is there any getaway from this situation? any escape? As a totally different idea, there is some jazzy element and some kind of humour? Instrumentals are open to suggestions and interpretations and the title can be changed :) Thank you for listening and for sharing your thoughts. I will be back commenting tomorrow.

There's a lovely sense of encroaching menace to this. Something to get away from indeed. Loving that weird sounds cape you've created here
Very spooky- like a thriller soundtrack! Evocative and creative- urgency to getaway and escape! Creative take on the skirmish- well done!
Nadia - For me this became a song about how energizing it can feel to catastrophize and be melodramatic - whether about life or about the state of the world. The key changes became about getting more and more outlandishly spun up until the scenarios we’re dreaming about become funny. Then that last bouncier bit, is having spun ourselves back into a positive energy to go write more songs.
You really should be getting some soundtrack work. These are always wonderful! ❤️
