Snap Out Of It!
Liner Notes
My last but one #MovieQuote is a twofer, because Ke Huy Quan says it to Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984)—he played Short Round—and then again to Michelle Yeoh in Everything Everywhere All At Once (2022).
Dunno what sort of genre you'd call this. Lots of Squier Strat to be heard, because #guitars, but the solos are the Parker Fly. Bass is my Jaydee Roadie II. There's some Serum 2 and Pigments lurking in the background and a bit of Korg M3 piano.

It transcends genre, that is it! Certainly some prog, some rock, some ambient, some celestial higher truth...all comes together to rad effect. Guitar solos, more please, so soaring and transcendent!
Don’t know what genre it is. It’s the tyranny of listeners, isn’t it? Insisting we label everything conveniently. Understandable of course but it often feels limiting. Great guitar and bass work. Melodic joy.
I like the way you hold back the melodic statements against the beat. Some lovely melodic lines developed through the guitar and synths and the proggy harmonies are great to behold. Really enjoyed listening to this
Headfirstence have you not heard that genre .I've heard it a fair bit the last few years! Nice and crisp and clear - with that big synth hanging around! the guitars fly in to carry it on and upwards and those are very good drums. really nice piece
Genre defying? My favorite kind of defiance. You've got some Vai influence in the bridge part that I just love
Spacey guitar rock hittin' the spot! The bass is a standout for me here also, both melodic and supportive at the same time. Really cool piece!
Wow, not sure what to call this genre either.Except cool. Love how the synth and base go together. So well on those lead parts. Almost sounds a gary hoey, sometimes in the endless summer two soundtrack. But with a cool weird spacey vibe to it.
Loved Quan in Everything Everywhere! Just as an aside. Ahem. And I really dig this too. Its big and spacy and fills the gap between my ear buds tremendously well! Cracking guitar motif, but I think the bass is the star for me. It's chunky and round and carries the melody and everybody else effortlessly.
The bass has a really interesting sound besides playing a cool part. Nice guitar lines as well.
