Nana Puddin

I’ve had this one in the works for a couple of years. Finally calling it done tonight. We will tweak the production but finally the lyrics are melody are set.
The idea started at a high school class reunion with my friend Lisa Luzonua, then I built it out and brought it to my co-writer Mike Michnya for refining.
I keep seeing banana pudding when I travel now, especially cute cartons at Magnolia Bakery. My goal is to have this song ready so that I can include my own song behind my social media post next time I see some!
Lyrics
Nana Puddin
When this wonky world is swirling 'round And you feel like a gnarly gnome When the worst demon day knocks you down And you want a taste of home
You need 'nana puddin' Na na 'nana puddin' yeah
'Nana puddin' in a cup 'Nilla Wafers as a crust When you're down you know what's up 'Nana puddin' in a cup
Na na 'nana puddin' Na na 'nana puddin' yeah
All this dreamy, creamy nana bliss Starts taste buds dancing in my mouth Delicious banana happiness Takes me back home to the south
Na na 'nana puddin' Na na 'nana puddin' yeah
'Nana puddin' in a cup A little bit of Nana love When you're down you know what's up 'Nana puddin' in a cup
Na na 'nana puddin' Na na 'nana puddin' yeah
'Nana puddin' in a cup 'Nilla Wafers as a crust When you're down you know what's up 'Nana puddin' in a cup
Na na 'nana puddin' Na na 'nana puddin' yeah
Nana puddin’ (Spread that puddin love)

Ha ha, good! Thank you for listening. This is about the level of my current production skill, LOL. I’m glad you liked it!
A jazzy little ditty about banana pudding, how fun! “When you’re down you know what’s up” - great line!
Thanks! I’m glad it brought you joy. 🤩
Who knew nana pudding could be delicious AND soulful. I'm impressed with how complete this feels with just the beat and vocals. Groove!
"When you're down you know what's up" this line has me grinning!
I’m so glad you liked it! It’s good that it feels complete, seeing as how I never really know quite how to take the songs to the fully produced next level on a mom’s hobby non-budget. :)
I must admit that when I saw the title on the songs list I thought that 'Nana Puddin' was a 'pet name' for your grandmother who was known for making the best desserts... my bad!
Very joyful bouncy track - mine would have been about Key-Lime Pie (although I'm staying clear of all 'naughty' foods at the moment)
I do also love key lime pie if I’m feeling tart. Yum I love the dual meaning of Nana in my song, especially in the line A little bit of Nana love. Glad it came through in your first glance.
Quirky catchy delicious fun!!!! Love the jazzy melody and cool vocals. I haven’t had it for 20 some years! Delightful!
Are you from the south? I wonder if it’s actually not a regional nostalgic treat and it’s just me. ;) Thank you for listening!
oh lord i'm gonna have that chorus in my head all day now - a really fun song. I like the drum and the very light instrumentation
