Short instrumental groove I put together for the #onesample challenge. Started out the month with this and then moved on to work on some other things, but I want to get a recording uploaded, so I worked on it a bit more....time to let it go, I could tweak it forever.
This was fun to put together! Only one sample was used as the starting point of every sound you hear: an icicle that I knocked off the back of my house, which promptly shattered in the parking lot. From there I mangled it mercilessly. Hope you like it :-)

Very cool soundscape on this song! And you mangled an icicle to get this going? Excellent! I thoroughly enjoyed my listen!!
Wow! I love the backstory and it makes the song even better. I love audio mangling but this is audio mangling with control and direction in a way that I haven’t ever done. Trance-like repetition in the beat and lots of fun ear candy coming in and out. 🥶🙌🎶
Oh, that's cool. Um, metaphorically as well as literally. That stretched pad is particularly nice. As for tweaking things forever, I totally agree. Tweaking's funnnnnn...
You're quite a producer, and really great at turning moments into music.
Glad to see you on the board! You really did a lot with that one sample. Some very cool sounds. Keep going!
This is impressive. What did you use to make the pad from the icicle? Also the bass is blowing my mind given the one sample. Great work!
Dude. Way to pull a universe out of an icicle! Loved the chopped verb sample especially! Great fun work on this!! Happy FAWMing :)
I felt like I was a the main character in a video game entering a cave and discovering new and unusual clues to my journey the whole way. Nothing dangerous just mysterious. Love the icicle sample - it really sets the mood.
